What are those fish egg looking things in creamy stuff? Ick Re: What The Heck Is In Tapioca Pudding? My daugter looooves the stuff - all I can say is eeeeeeeewwww Re: What The Heck Is In Tapioca Pudding? "Purchased tapioca comprises many small white spheres each about 2 mm in diameter (although larger grain sizes are available). These are not seeds, but rather reconstituted processed root. The processing concept is akin to the way that wheat is turned into pasta. These tapioca pearls are made mostly of ...
Well I received my nice and friendly newsletter from Sephora today (via e-mail) and a product caught my eye. BORBA Skin Balancing Confections. I continued to read and I just have to share this. Anyone had any experience with this product/line? "BORBA's Skin Balance Confections contain a revolutionary, cultivated bio-vitamin complex that helps the skin regenerate its natural support system, while helping to remove toxins and improve skin clarity. Acai and green tea extract help strengthen the capillary ...
White Tea Could Keep You Healthy And Looking Young http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0430194803.htm Check it out! WOW! I just ordered another box of white tea lol ! I am very easily influenced ;- ) I get the Uncle Lee's organic 100% white tea from Loblaws. If you go to their website (Uncle Lee's gone hi-tech!) you'll likely find a list of places you can get it. I get 100 T bags for about 8$. If you go to some health food places, they sell 25 t bags for 5$. Don;t get ripped off, people! What kind of ...
I have ordered Skinactives Dermagen (natural matrixyl) with Hyaluronic Acid and some naturally active peptides. Could anyone kindly give me a recipe for what I could potentially do with this? Their website suggests mixing it with a seakelp biofederm base at a rate of 5 mL for 8 fl oz. The only thing is seaweed products seems to break me out a bit so I was wondering what the alternatives were? I would like a light serum to layer under moisturizer. Would distilled water be the best option or perhaps ...
Hi all! I am planning to make a few serums and was wondering what your favourite thickeners are for a silky, non-tacky gel texture? One of the serums I plan to make is a 5% B3 3%NAG and green tea serum with hyaluronic acid. I have used Xanthan Gum before (which is ok) but am exploring my options. What are your experiences with thickeners like Cetyl alcohol, Guar gum, gum arabic, gelmaker plus, sea emolliant etc? Any difference in texture between them, and any preferences for certain recipes? TIA! I am a ...

Hi everyone, I'm new to DIY skincare. I've made some of the Green Tea Toner recipes here on the forum with very nice results. My question is... can I use Green Tea extract in lieu of brewed green tea? If so, how much of the Green Tea extract should I use in my skin care products?  Thanks! Anne You've got to get the extract to receive the cosmetic benefits of green tea. The thing about brewing green tea is that the benefits of the polyphenols (component that helps your skin) are going to be based ...

I've heard so much about how amazing sheet masks are, especially the ones on My Beauty Diary. I was hoping someone here has tried them and could tell me what ones work best and how they helped their skin? Yeah you can start with Neutrogena Fine Fairness, its good but only for one ocassion Really? I didn't know Neutrogena actually made sheet masks. Last time I used any of their products my face started peeling really bad though, so I'm not too sure about them. I have used the Royal Jelly ones, I ...

jewel81: yup, my puffiness was slightly reduced. but will have to use it regularly together with regular sleep. I dont know yesterday I tried crystal collagen eye mask. Nothing much of a difference when removed the mask. More hydrated only. I guess cannot expect much of a miracle for the first try. So far, any cotters tried the DIY milk mask on your eyes? Pls review Any cotters joining this spree? http://myspreestore.livejournal.com/ Which is good for dark eye circles & fine lines? Sasa selling collagen ...
Ok so it was a beautiful day today...had to go golfing it just called to me. Used sunscreen everywhere I thought but missed the back of my neck. What can I put on it??? Cool the area, cool bath or cool, not cold, compresses help. If you have aloe gel handy then it's very good for sunburn. Any soothing lotion works as well (like Bepanthen or Panthenol spray, they are excellent for all kinds of burns). Just don't use oils or any heavy creams or put ice directly on skin. And drink a lot of fluids. Thanks Ray! ...
